Isole Greche

CICLADI

Cyclades Islands

The name of the archipelago derives from the Greek word “kiklos”, which means circle, and indicates the circular arrangement of the numerous islands and islets around the island of Delos where, according to legend, Latona begat Apollo making this place sacred ancient times out of respect for the sun god it was expressly forbidden for men to be born and die.

Today the Cyclades are certainly among the islands most frequented by tourists and above all the names of Mykonos and Santorini are the best known and today synonymous with unbridled fun!

How to get

By plane

The main airports of the Cyclades islands are those on the islands of Mykonos and Santorini which, especially in the summer period, are frequently reached with both direct and charter flights.

Low cost airlines such as Easyjet, Blu-Express and even Meridiana reach the islands with flights departing from Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino and Verona; in addition, national airlines such as Alitalia, Aegean Airlines and Olimpic Air also fly to the Cyclades.
